The primary responsibility of an Equity Derivatives and Execution Production Service Support Analyst is to provide Level One, Two and Three Support for the front office across all Equity business which include Derivatives, Convertible Bond, Delta One, Program Trading and Proprietary Trading. The team supports both front end and backend application services which include OMS/EMS, risk and position management system, trading and sales research tools.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical and business knowledge of OMS/EMS platforms, having trading floor or front office support experiences with strong communication skills. Knowledge of equity and equity derivatives is a plus.
This is a hands-on support role on the equity trading floor. The main responsibilities are to maintain and support OMS/EMS applications, trade order flows and various regulatory reportings such as ACTS/OATS. Secondary responsibilities are to provide support for the Convertible Bond business. The role requires constant interaction with sales and trading, middle office and operations teams, and responsibilities will be varied in nature that incorporates both hands-on support and issue incident & problem management. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering
Minimum 2 years’ experience in trade floor or related support experience.
Good product knowledge in financial instruments (equities preferred)
Experience with electronic trading platforms and OMS/EMS systems
Able to navigate in UNIX and Windows proficiently
Able to troubleshoot problems in multiple environments.
Strong technical and analytical skills (SQL knowledge and some scripting experiences)
Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, and work towards tight deadlines.
Able to handle a fast-paced trading environment.
Sense of urgency when handling production issues impacting the desk\firms ability to do business
Experiences with system monitor platforms
Ability to analyze complex scenarios from both a technical and business perspective and deliver solutions
Ability to deliver to deadlines in an environment where multiple competing priorities are a part of the job
A good understanding ITIL practices
Good knowledge in risk management and P&Ls
Hands-on experiences in Autosys & sentinel
Knowledge of Incident, Problem and Change management process
Middleware knowledge such as TIBCO or MSMQ is a plus
